HomeHID 35wHID 55wLEDStoreTroubleshoot

When the HID system does not work or becomes malfunctioned, please disconnect the bulb, igniter and ballast according to the following diagram. There will be a power supply of DC 12V-14V from the car battery. If the HID system works normally, then check the wiring of the vehicle (please confirm that the car battery can serve a normal function).

Problem 1: The fuse on standard harness easily gets burnt

Solution: The reason is because of the excess low voltage resulting from the aging of the wires. It is likely to occur if 75W or 100W halogen bulbs (filled with xenon gas) were once mounted on the car. The wiring is damaged by excessive high voltage. Please check the wiring of the vehicle

Problem 2: Cars with H4 9005/9006 bulb base

Solution: The electrode position (+ & -) on the original headlight socket might be reversed. This is most common on Toyota cars. Please check the positive and negative electricity.

Problem 3: Cars with H1 bulb base

Solution: Before mounting H1 HID conversion kit onto the car, please check first if the base socket for putting H1 bulb inside the headlight housing is big enough. If not, please use grinding tools such as dermal, to enlarge the base socket before installation.

Problem 4: Daytime Running Lights (DRL)

Solution: When the engine is on, the HID bulb flickers or goes out after ignition. For this situation, a specialized relay harness is required. Professional installation is highly recommended. We have referrals

Check out this useful website http://www.lightsout.org/disable.html

Problem 5: Check Lamp warning indicator on dashboard is on

Solution 1: If HID bulbs are still working when the “Check Lamp” signal is on, please go back the car dealers/manufacture to adjust or clear codes on engine computer

Solution 2: If HID bulbs keeps going on and off or flicker after ignition while “Check Lamp” signal is on, a specialized relay harness is required. Professional installation is highly recommended. We have referrals

Problem 6: The HID bulb goes out after a few minutes after being ignited for several times after a year use.

Solution: Please replace the HID bulb with a new one. It is always best to replace in pairs. The HID bulb might explode and then damage the headlight housing after being used for a long time.

IMPORTANT:

If one side of headlight becomes malfunctioned, then the HID system has become malfunctioned. If both sides don’t work, please check the original wiring on the vehicle.

Installation of HID without disable of DRL will void warranty also. Any wires that are cut or modified in any way will void warranty also. Please contact us if you have any other questions
